YASMIN – 2010 WAHO Trophy Winner – Syria

YASMIN, Grey Mare, *1998 (Hassan / Ghallabah).
Breeder: Mr. Nizar J. Al Asa’ad. Owner: Al Jameel Stables.
Strain: Kehailet Krush Al Baida.

The Syrian Arabian Horse Association is proud to announce that the beautiful mare Yasmin was awarded their 2010 WAHO Trophy at the 2010 Syrian National Arabian Championships Show. Her sire Hassan, of the Hamdani Ibn Ghorab strain, has been a very important breeding stallion in Syria, and her dam comes from one of the best desert-bred damlines in the country, from the now rare Kehailet Krush Al Baida strain of the Shammar tribe.

Presented with her 2010 foal running alongside her in front of 3 international judges, the elegant grey Yasmin first won the strong class for mares aged 10 and over, with the celebrated mare Wud, herself a former WAHO Trophy winner, in second place. Yasmin then triumphed again, being awarded the coveted gold medal and title of Syrian National Champion Mare. It is as a result of this title that she was also awarded the WAHO Trophy.
