STICHIJA – 2012 WAHO Trophy Winner – Lithuania

STICHIJA, Chestnut mare, *2002 (Sniegas/Sniegena). Breeder: JSC “Vilniaus Zirgynas”. Owner: JSC “Lietuvos Zirgynas”. Strain: Seglawieh Jedranieh (Emese, 1880)

Lithuania’s 2012 WAHO Trophy was awarded to the chestnut mare Stichija, born and raised at Vilnius Stud. Stichija took 3rd place in the class for mares 4 years old and over at the annual National Arabian Horse Show in 2008. In 2012 she improved on this result when she was named Reserve Champion in the group of mares 4 years old and over at the annual National Arabian Horse Show.

Stichija is a very high quality broodmare, two of her six foals have received the following evaluations:
*Her son Skeptras (2008, sire by Abatas, himself a former WAHO Trophy winner) was named Junior Champion colt in the group of 1 to 3 year old colts during the comparative evaluation that took place in 2011.

* Her daughter Savoya (2009, sired by Bosas, himself a former WAHO Trophy winner) took 3rd place in the group of 1 to 3 year old fillies at the same event.

In November 2012 the WAHO Trophy was officially awarded to Stichija during the conference “Promoting of the competence among Lithuanian Arabian Horse breeders and participants of the rural network and increasing competitiveness of this breed in rural areas”, watched by many respected guests and the audience. Mr. Edgaras Jeninas, Director of JSC Lietuvos Zirgynas, received the trophy for Stichija.
