Sidi Ballalaika has been awarded the 2006 WAHO trophy by the council of the Arab Horse Society of South Africa. Sidi Ballalaika is a consistent winner at halter, ridden and performance championships in South Africa. She was South African Supreme National Champion Mare in 1994 and has won numerous championships under saddle over the years.

Sidi Ballalaika is also a great broodmare, having produced two Supreme South African National Champion Mares namely Sidi Victoria (1997) and Sidi Namira that won the title as Supreme South African National Champion Mare twice in 2001 and 2002. With a truly international pedigree combining lines well established in South Africa which originated from Egypt, Poland, USA and Britain, she was bred and is still owned by Mr Jack Maritz of the Sidi Arabian Stud near Upington.
