Statement from owner:
“Amir’s heritage is strong with a pedigree full of world-renowned horses. His grandsire, San Joaquin was a South African Triple Crown Winner having won the South African Supreme Stallion title, three years running in 2008, 2009 and 2010 consecutively. Through his dam, he traces to champion stallions, Da Vinci FM, Justify & the iconic Versace. His type is true to his ancestry with a beautiful head, proud well-set neck, level top line, and a flagged high-set tail. He is not only a looker but his robust strong shoulders, short level back, powerful hindquarters, straight limbs, clean tendons and strong hooves, contribute to the overall form to function quality of the breed. Amir Alsahra has been shown twice, first at our Zimbabwean National Championships in 2024 (our first national championships in over 20 years) and then again at this years Zimbabwean National Championships held in July. At the 2024 nationals, he won the Zimbabwean National Champion Junior Liberty Stallion title, whilst in 2025 he won both the Zimbabwean National Champion Senior Stallion title and the Zimbabwean National Champion Senior Liberty Stallion title. Attaining 3 Championships at the event in 2 years.
We are looking forward to his bright future in both the show ring and the breeding barn as a sire.
In our breeding program, he will add a more modern touch to our mares that trace to original ‘colonial’ era imports, whilst through their sire lines, have also had their pedigrees infused with the renowned blood of Simeon Shai (Raadin Royal Star x Simeon Safanad), Ruminaja Ali (Shaikh Al Badi x Bint Magidaa) and countless others.”
