FUGITIVO [Harmik / Fuga]. Grey Stallion, 1980. Breeder & Owner: Celina & Miguel Pavlovsky, Haras San Andres Del Moro. Strain: Managhi (Maanaqui, 1884)
We are very proud to share with you that Fugitivo was awarded the 2005 WAHO Trophy as the most outstanding Arab Horse bred and living in Argentina. The Arabian Horse Breeders Society of Argentina took the decision, after evaluating all candidates whose details were submitted by owners and breeders, to nominate Fugitivo the recipient of this award for the year 2005.
Fugitivo was born in April 1980, his mother Fuga [Aman / Noor] came from old Argentine blood-lines and his father Harmik [Haroun / Mikoletta] of Crabbet origins was imported from the U.K. in 1997. During his long 12 years of active competitions he won National Championships in Dressage, Jumping, Driving, Barrel Racing, Pole Racing and in Ridden Classes with English saddle and Gaucho saddle. He also won the Senior Championship in Halter. In Open Championships (for all breeds) he won National Titles in Barrel & Pole Racing. He competed in Flat Races and won in Endurance Competitions. He is the most versatile winner of performance competition in Argentina and has passed to his sons and grand sons his successful competitive spirit.
His sons have been race winners with Horse of the Year Awards, and many have been top endurance competitors, with more than 20 sons exported as successful endurance horses. As a maternal grand-sire, Fugitivo also continues transmitting his athletic capabilities. In the last 3 years the Argentinean National Endurance Championships were all won by his grandsons. In the 2004 National Championship the winner, second, third and fourth placed horses all had Fugitivo as either their sire or maternal grand-sire.

Fugitivo is still in good shape despite his 26 years. Recently retired from stallion duties, he left his pasture to undertake the long journey to Buenos Aires specially to receive with honors this unique WAHO Trophy. The Trophy was presented to Fugitivo himself, with his proud breeders and owners, Celina & Miguel Pavlovsky from Haras San Andres del Moro. This ceremony took place during the Argentina National Horse Show this April at Palermo Show Grounds on 8 April 2006, the Trophy was presented in front of an enthusiastic audience by the President of WAHO Dr. Hans J. Nagel (Germany) and members of the Executive Committee, Mrs. Claudia Caraballo de Quentin (Argentina), Mrs. Izabella Pawelec-Zawadzka (Poland) and Mr. Peter J. Pond (Australia).

BREMERVALE JUSTICE [Rave VF / Bremervale Katische]. Chestnut gelding, 1992. Breeder: Bremervale Arabians (Toft & Burgess); Owner: Peter Toft. Strain: Kehailan Dajani (Dajania 1876)
The Arabian Horse Society of Australia decided to award the 2005 WAHO Trophy to the first Purebred Arabian to complete the 2005 Tom Quilty Endurance Ride. This 160 km ride is the most prestigious in Australia, attracting international riders and rotating from state to state. This year it was held in Tasmania, but unfortunately for the first time in the ride’s long history it had to be terminated at the 106km mark because the weather was so bad it was impossible and dangerous for them to continue in such rough terrain.
Bremervale Justice is one of the leading advanced endurance horses in Australia. Apart from his achievement in the 2005 Tom Quilty Endurance Ride, where he was ridden by Abdullah Chamis Ali Saeed, he has for many years been a very consistent winner both in Australia and overseas, including twice a member of the Australian Team for the World Championships, winning team gold in 2000 and team silver in 2004. Bremervale Katische was by Oxford Decimus and out of Bremervale Phaedra, of all “old-English” breeding, and Bremervale Justice is the proud product of several generations of home “Bremervale” breeding on the female side of the family.

T.M. AIKOR [Mirok Monpelou / Aillura]. Chestnut stallion, 1995. Breeder and owner Gabriele Hammerer, Ta Merij Arabians. Strain: Kehailan Dajani (Mlecha).
On the occasion of the show in Wels with its many spectators, the VVÖ (Austrian Arab Horse Society) presented the 2005 WAHO Trophy to the most successful stallion bred in Austria. The proposal to honour this stallion was brought forward by the Board to its members at their Annual General Meeting and unanimously agreed upon.
At present, T.M. Aikor has a total of 20 offspring in Austria and others in Denmark and Germany. However, it was not his show ring successes or the number of offspring that were responsible for this distinction, but the continuous exceptional quality of his offspring and his corresponding quality as a sire. He is a highly decorated stallion at national and international shows (e.g. 1996: class winner at Wels International Show; Champion at Arabica with highest scores in all criteria; Senior Champion at the InterCup, and Champion of the Get of Sire class). Equally important, of his 20 foals five have already achieved championship titles, among them his firstborn foal T.M. Laguna (x Lady Annie), twice Austrian National Champion and named “Best Austrian-bred Mare” in 1999 and 2004. And finally, the prepotency of T.M. Aikor is even visible in his grand-get, such as T.M. Lawenda (Desant / T.M. Laguna), Champion at the InterCup 2003 and class winner at the Danube Cup 2004.
Broken to saddle and harness as a (not quite yet) three-year-old, T.M. Aikor is ridden out several times a week and not only does himself credit in that he is easy to ride, fast and absolutely reliable, he also is extremely endurable and of an unsurpassable fearlessness. Apart from that he is a very masculine, superior, but at the same time gentle stallion, who today, at the age of 10 years, does not take the show ring all that seriously anymore. The VVÖ once more congratulates Gabriele Hammerer on her stallion’s distinction, T.M. Aikor has set a high standard for awarding the WAHO trophy in Austria in the future. Click to Enlarge - T.M. AKPER [Piligrim / Anita]. Grey stallion, 2002. Breeder and Owner: Mr Mamed Guseinov. Strain: Hadban Enzahi (Elsissa I, 1870)
The Azerbaijan Arabian Horses Club awarded their WAHO Trophy for 2005 to the stallion Akper, one of the earliest Azerbaijan-bred Arabians to be resgistered in the first WAHO approved stud book for this new Registering Authority Member.
The reason for the choice is that Akper shows both the typical Arabian characteristics and is also proving to be an excellent athlete. He won a demonstration race at Bina Racecourse on August 10, 2005 over a distance of 1000 metres in a time of 1 min. 09 sec. His dam Anita was imported from Russia in 2001, she is by Namat out of Amira and was bred by Tersk Stud. Akper is her first foal born in Azerbaijan, he was imported in utero and is by Piligrim (Gips / Postup).

SHUWAIMAAN JAZEEL [Musannaan Alra’ad / Shuwaimeh Darahim]. Bay Stallion, 1997. Breeder: Amiri Arabian Stud of Bahrain. Owner: The Royal Arabian Stud of Bahrain. Strain: Shuwaimaan (Shuwaimeh 47, 1954)
The WAHO Trophy for the year 2005 was presented to Bahrain's best Arabian racehorse SHUWAIMAAN JAZEEL from the Royal Arabian Stud of Bahrain on the 3rd of March 2006. The presentation took place on the occasion of the HH Sheikh Faisal Bin Hamad Al Khalifa National Arabian Horse Show. Dr. Ibrahim Zaghloul, WAHO Executive Committee Member, presented the trophy to HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Rashid Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
SHUWAIMAAN JAZEEL 1034 was foaled in 1997 by Musannaan Alra’ad 321 out of Shuwaimeh Darahim 892. In five seasons of racing this fine bay stallion won 20 times from 24 starts, was runner up three times and third once. His most emphatic victory came in last year’s Kings Cup which he won easily by nine long lengths. This was his third Kings Cup and also his last start as he is now retired.
These glittering statistics are made all the more remarkable by the fact that SHUWAIMAAN JAZEEL 1034 was not a very sound horse and he survived two life threatening illnesses during his racing career. So we salute the great heart of this brave horse and the training skills of his handler ‘Abdi’ Redha Abbas who kept him performing at the highest level with the able help of the support staff at the Royal Stables.

ONADO [Ass-Kendal / Alissah] Grey stallion, 1998. Breeder and Owner: Mr. Johan Verstrepen, Dijkhoeve Arabians. Strain: Seglawi Mukhalladi (Merjane 1866).
The Belgian Arabian Horse Registry (BAPS) decided to select their 2005 WAHO Trophy winner from the discipline of Arabian racing. As of 2001, when he started his career on the racetrack, Onado has won 7 races from 37 runs, and a total of Euros 20,736 in prize money. He was also placed 2nd 7 times, 3rd 10 times, and 4th 3 times. This outstanding achievement led to him being awarded the titles of AHRCB Belgium Racehorse of the Year 2004 & Best Belgian-bred of the Year 2004. He is trained by his owner and breeder, Johan Verstrepen. Click to Enlarge - Onado showing his exceptional enthusiasm for racing which helped him win Belgium's 2005 WAHO Trophy. Onado is not just a great athlete but also a true to type Arabian. Definitely the darling of the crowd, even among thoroughbred race-goers, he performed as well over short distances (winning a 1300m race at Duindigt, where he is still the record-holder for that distance, and gaining a creditable 3rd place in Newbury 2005 in a Gr. I race over 1200m), as he did in the longer races, proving his typical Arabian staying power by winning a 3000m race in Boitsfort in 2002. As a race-horse, he looks and behaves as an Arabian, his tail carried high like a banner as he always tries to take the lead from the start and shows every determination to keep that lead to the finishing post.
As his breeder, Johan is very proud of Onado and also of his dam, Alissah, whose four sons all became "Horse of the Year" in the AHRCB-races. Ganesh Ibn Kendal, full brother to Onado, is now active in endurance-riding. Sadly, Alissah passed away in 2005, but hopefully her daughters Lakshmi El Kendal (full sister to Onado ) and Nowara D.A.(by Djel Bon) will duly replace their mother at Dijkhoeve Arabians for more successful racing-progeny.
TS BYTESH [Baqi / Shelly Ann] Grey stallion, 1990. Breeder and owner: Mrs. Svea Dietrich-Ward, Tree Shade Arabians. Strain: Seglawi Jedran (Urfah 1898).
The senior Arabian stallion in Belize, TS Bytesh is a wonderful riding horse and also enjoys being driven in harness. As a breeding sire he is always ready, able and considerate with his mares. His foals prove that he is prepotent and reliable and they inherit his exceptional disposition. An attractive horse with an excellent temperament, proven by the fact that he is particularly gentle and kind with children, TS Bytesh is considered the perfect ambassador to attract new people to the Arabian breed in a country where their numbers are very small. On top of all that he has a sense of humor. He well deserves the trophy and is very proud of it - as is his owner / breeder, Svea Dietrich
