ARUNDEL HOUSE ROULETTE Chestnut stallion, 1990. [Arundel House Rashan / Pinosa Park Silhouette] Breeders & Owners: Bob & Sharon Morris . Strain: Dahman Umm Amr of Ibn Hemsi (Dahma 1876).
Australia’s WAHO Trophy for 2007 has been awarded to the great stallion Arundel House Roulette. Throughout his ridden career he accumulated seven Australian Championships, including sidesaddle and dressage, was supreme ridden horse at the NSW National Arabian Stud Show twice, won the Baskhan Sash three times and was champion stallion four times. He was champion ridden stallion at the East Coast four times, supreme purebred three times and won the East Coast Cup three times. Roulette was the recipient of the Golden Spurs at the Saddle Horse Championships on three occasions and also received the Triple Crown award.
His last show season, 2005/2006 was one to remember for his connections and many fans. He was undefeated by purebreds or derivatives, being Champion Stallion at the State Titles, Supreme Arabian at the Saddle Horse Championships and Supreme ridden and winner of the Baskhan Sash at the NSW National Arabian Stud Show.
Roulette also achieved a lot of success in open Dressage competition and was a great ambassador for the Arabian breed in doing so. He was awarded Dressage Horse of the Year at both Bowral Dressage Club and Illawarra Dressage Association and Champion High Point at the South Coast Dressage Championships, often beating imported warmbloods. On one occasion at a Dressage NSW competition at Clarendon, one of the other riders expressed amusement that an Arabian stallion had come all that way, until Roulette won, beating both his warmbloods.

Roulette was to be retired from showing at the 2006 East Coast Arabian Championship, and his connections hoped he might manage to be champion stallion at this, his last show. He exceeded their expectations, because after taking the Champion Stallion title he went on to be awarded Supreme Ridden Arabian and take the East Coast Cup. He has earned his spot in the history books, as currently no other ridden purebred in Australia has taken all these awards in one season.
His trainer and rider Angela Delamont says 'Roulette was a thrill to ride at every competition, successful or not, and we are certainly missing him. A horse with his incredible movement natural balance, presence and attitude doesn’t come along every day, and he just loved showing off to the crowds.'

LM LIBRETTO Chestnut stallion 1991. [Drago / Dadobia] Breeder: La Movida Arabians, owner: Al-Qahira Arabians, Martina Minhard. Strain: Not Recorded (Arabka de Pompadour).
Today, Al-Qahira Stud, founded in 1997 by Martina Minhard in Söll, Tyrol, is the largest stud for Arabians of Spanish bloodlines in Austria – it includes 25 horses: 3 stallions, 9 mares and youngstock. In only 10 years, which is a short time in breeding, Mrs Minhard managed to be awarded with the WAHO Trophy 2007 for the successes of her foundation stallion L.M. Libretto and those of his offspring.
L.M. Libretto is the sire of 15 foals and grandsire of 10 foals, among which his daughter Espinosa Qahira out of Shamal is the most successful sports horse in the stud so far, followed by GS Amorosa who has completed her performance test in racing at the Warsaw racetrack: 10 races (1/1/1/2).
To list all achievements of Espinosa Qahira and L.M. Libretto would exceed the attention of the readers – the greatest triumph of Espinosa Qahira, however, was her title of 2005 European Champion Classic All-Around at Stadl Paura. For this sensational sports result she was honoured with the cover picture of the magazine Araber Journal 8/2005.
The most important awards for L.M. Libretto are: Bronze medal Driving All-Around European Championship 2003 and European Reserve Champion Classic All-Around 2005 at Stadl Paura as well as winner of the get of sire class at the Danube Trophy 2004. He is also an excellent driving horse and he still to this day pulls the carriage or sleigh at home.
Next to L.M. Libretto himself, 3 mares and 1 stallion among his offspring are performance tested. The stallion Vendaval Qahira, born in 2002, did his performance test at Stadl Paura this year. The bay Valeroso Qahira out of Bel Princess is already a breeding stallion, he represents L.M. Libretto at shows and was awarded the National Junior Reserve Champion title in Wels 2003 and the International Junior Champion title in St. Pölten as well as placing Top 5 at shows in Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. His full-brother Quirinal Qahira, born in 2004, was Reserve Champion Foal in Wels.
Until today, the stud has exported horses to Italy and Switzerland and owns at present the most horses within the Association of purebred Arabian breeders in Austria (VVÖ), who are constantly achieving the highest ranks in sports results.

L.L. BEAUTY DREAM Bay Mare. 2001. [Bey Shadow TGS / Touch A Dream]. Owner and breeder Mr. Alfredo Hasbun H. Strain: Kehaileh Dajanieh (Mlecha, ca. 1840).
The Chilean Association of Arabian Horse Breeders is pleased to announce that they have awarded their 2007 WAHO Trophy to the outstanding mare L.L. BEAUTY DREAM, from Haras La Laguna, owned and bred by Mr. Alfredo Hasbun H.
The arguments considered in awarding this trophy were that the mare in question obtained the titles in Chile of Champion Foal 2001, National Junior Female Champion 2004, National Champion Mare 2005, and when travelling overseas to represent Chile, she was awarded the prestigious title of 'International Champion Mare 2007', in Las Vegas USA.

SAMIRA Grey mare, 1979. [Tobrok / Wafika]. Breeder: Topolcianky State Stud. Owner: Petr Jadlovsky. Strain: Seglawieh Jedranieh of Ibn Soudan (Roga, 1882).
The Association for Purebred Arabian Horses of the Czech Republic (ACHPAK) is pleased to announce the award of their 2007 WAHO Trophy to the wonderful old broodmare Samira. She was the first privately owned mare in the Czech Republic (formerly part of Czechoslovakia) and is the oldest living Arabian horse in the country, having passed her 30th birthday in very good condition. She has been an excellent and influential broodmare with many offspring which have themselves entered the breeding herd for the country. We all wish this celebrated mare very good health and vitality in her old age.
